HOW CAN I SUPPORT CFD?

I want to join the campaign!

The best way to plug in is to friend Cascadia Forestdefenders on facebook or email forestdefensenow@gmail.com
Be patient; many of our organizers live part-time away from the city and may take a Cascadian minute to respond to your inquiries. But we are very happy to hear from you!

A successful campaign is won through a diversity of tactics... which requires a diversity of people. If you can't leave town often or participate in legally precarious activities, we are just as eager for more help and experience organizing media, doing food pick-ups, volunteering and fliering for our events, researching and scouting timber sales, etc. We need web gurus just as much as we need tree climbers.

I only have 15 minutes to give.

A number of your elected representatives are personally responsible for the destruction of Oregon's wilderness. In October, the State Land Board approved a plan that will increase the annual clearcut in the Elliott State Forest from 500 to 850 acres. Please contact the following members of the Board and tell them not to sell off our children's future to the highest bidder!

I have donations.

Cash and checks made out to Cascadia Forest Defenders can be mailed to Earth First, P.O. Box 96 Eugene OR 97440.

We are a small collective, not a federally recognized non-profit. Donations support: food and gear for backwoods actions, gas to fuel everything from public hikes to tree-sits, small stipends for workshop presenters, legal support for broke as hell arrestees. We don't have any overhead or paid employees, so everything you give goes directly to the campaign. If you want to support a specific aspect of our campaign, just make a note with your donation so that we can direct your hard earned dollars in the right direction: i.e. "legal donations for the tree-sit arrests."

Have old stuff you don't need? Gear can be dropped off or sent to the Lorax Manner, 1648 Alder, Eugene OR 97401. Make sure that it is labelled for CFD, and contact us ahead of time so that we know to expect it.

WISHLIST: Tents, rain gear, tarps, non-cotton clothing, non-perishable food, small camp stoves, water filters, first aid kits, banner making supplies, batteries, tools. Laptop, gps, video camera(s), battery powered charging devices, walkie talkies.
