Forest Web of Cottage Grove and Cascadia Forest Defenders on a mushroom
hike through a threatened ecosystem. Learn about the fungus native to
our bioregion, enjoy a hike through a beautiful area and bring home some
of the bounty of the forest!
The hike will be suitable for all levels. Please bring sturdy shoes, water, lunch, and a friend.
Eugene carpool/rideshare meets 8:00am at 17th and Charnelton, Charnel Mulligan Park.
Hike will meet up at 10:00am near Reedsport, at the turnout where Loon Lake Road meets 7700, “Cougar Pass Road.”
Directions from Eugene: Drive 31 miles South on I-5. Take Exit 162 to merge with OR-38 at Drain. Continue West on OR-38 towards Reedsport for 38 miles. Turn left on Loon Lake Road and drive for about 5 miles. Stay to the right at the fork for Camp Creek Road. The turnout for 7700 will be less than a mile after the fork.

I've been working too much and my friends told me to "take a hike," and so I did! Just a reservation with the campervan rental melbourne and I'll soon be off hiking. This mushroom hike could have been a lot more fun, though.
